Thank you! The interior is every bit as crisp. Boat had 305 hours on it when I picked it up. |

It never ceases to amaze me. Of all the boats we looked at last year (obviously this doesn't include dealers) the Bryant was by far the cleanest and best maintained. And as I look around at these older boats that people are bringing to the forum compared to others I've seen since, that still appears to be the case to me.
Nice looking boat! _________________ '01 214 5.7L EFI

Gorgeous! I'm a bit biased though as I have the same model. I really like that color too. Happy boating! _________________ Jimmy & Adrienne

That boat looks exactly like mine except I have a '97 182! Cool. I agree that Bryants just hold up better than others. Partially because we are so anal about our boats. _________________ 1997 - 182 Limited, 4.3 Gen+

Well if you trailer it back and forth, please send me pics of it on the trailer. I'm replacing mine and want to see how it is done from the factory...if you have the factory Boatmate... _________________ 1996 192 Limited, 4.3

I do trailer it, and I can get you pics of anything you'd like to see, just let me know. I have a couple of pics from when I first brought it home in THIS POST for initial reference. _________________ Jimmy & Adrienne

Thanks that helps a lot. If anything can you please measure the axle? Wheel mounting surface (WMS) to WMS if possible. Also what weight is the axle and/or springs rated at?
Thanks

I'll see what I can do to get a measurement for you tonight. Kids go back to school tomorrow, so we're having a last summer hurrah with them tonight.
I'm not sure I'll be able to tell you the axle or spring ratings, but if I see anything while I'm looking, I'll let you know. _________________ Jimmy & Adrienne

I doubt a BM trailer really differs much between a 182 thru 196 during these years of 1996-2001.
Mine is a single axle, 14" wheels, 1870 rated GY Marathon tires, 3500# axle, UFP brakes, actuator, coupler, etc.
After 2001 they started putting them on 15" single axles with 5000# rating. I would do that instead. Not much more $ and more piece of mind.
The two inside runs of carpeted 2x4's are missing, but the 2x6's on the outside are shown in this shot of my trailer being recarpeted. The boat doesn't hit the rollers. In fact, I removed the rear roller to make room for the retractable stern straps.

Here's the front:

The hull's outside edges fit just inside (1") and below (1") the peak of the fender. _________________ Gary 2001 196 4.3L

Thats very helpful Gary thanks. I'm either going with a 5000 lb axle and springs or a double axle trailer. _________________ 1996 192 Limited, 4.3

Glad it was of use. I would go for the single 5K axle and 15" tires for an under 20' boat, unless you do a lot of towing and want the stability of a tandem.
Some downsides to a tandem on a sub 20 boat: initial cost; maintenance costs of bearings, tires, brakes; additional weight to haul; and harder to maneuver w/o a tow vehicle in the garage or hitching up.
There's a magic point of boat size and weight that you want to go w/ the tandem.
Also, be sure to support the underside of the stern length completely with bunks vs having the boat hang over several inches. _________________ Gary 2001 196 4.3L

RQ, I got sidetracked with back to school and the kids. I pulled the measurements but left them at home. I'll try to get them posted for you this evening. _________________ Jimmy & Adrienne
