It's an option, did yours come with it? Hope mine did Confused

Just did the 20 hr service and no oil drain hose. Evil or Very Mad Good thing is there is enough room on the 246 to get the plug out of the oil pan and the hose on so I'm ready for the next oil change Very Happy Got the hose through the dealer. Cool

Can ya'll give me some links to the extractors and the drain tubes?
Thanks

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, here's a Merc tech education video: http://mfile.akamai.com/12689/wmv/boattest.download.akamai.com/12689/_dld/mercruiser/mercruiser_oilchange_0300.wmv

You can buy the oil drain hose reasonably here: http://www.mercstuff.com/page12.htm

Or a pump like they use in the video w/ the garden hose connector for about the same < $40 price:

http://www.amazon.com/Jabsco-34060-0130-Marine-Engine-Diameter/dp/B000O8F0SU/ref=pd_sbs_sg_26

I've used them both and they both do a reasonable job. Sixes, really. Some say the hose gets out more oil, but more slowly. Cleanup and having another tool to store gets the drain hose vote. Both require warming the engine.

And remember to make sure the hose will fit your oil pan order by your engine serial number. Very Happy
