| Wondering where everyone is staying? I found the lodge had two rooms open and also camping spot C002 was open, I believe some of the group is staying at sites CD007 & C008? Is most of the group at the State Park? |

Bigdog,
GPeyton and I will be in C-loop with some other BBO'ers and some other friends. Most, if not the entire loop will be our group. Many others are staying at the Lodge and some are finding other places around the lake. FYI - this is just a laid-back social weekend with little organization  . We all had a blast last year and plan on the same this year. Hope you can make it!

ps - it's a dry county, so if you want adult beverages  , bring them with you.

WWHHHAAATTTTT ??? I didn't think they still had "DRY COUNTIES" anymore. Glad we found that out...Need to hit the Yeungling store before we get there. 10 days and counting

There are rumors that even in the dry counties local product is available if you know the correct people, this is JUST a rumor though

Jack Daniels is made in a Dry county in TN. Most all your Kentucky Bourbons are made in Dry Counties. Lots of Dry counties in KY and still quite a few in TN.

Not trying to hijack a post, but I think it is related. I can't make the gathering this month, but am looking at going to Dale Hollow soon. My question is where is the best place to stay if I am coming from Kentucky? There will be 6 people and 1 boat. Thanks in advance.

Kentucky State Park Resort. It will be your closest access to the lake from the KY side and is nice, has a campground and lodge, 250 slip marina, golf course and a beautiful lake! http://parks.ky.gov/findparks/resortparks/dh/

Sulpher Creek is less than 15 minutes by car. I stayed in one of their cabins many years ago and was very happy with it. Came with an uncovered slip that was a few hundred yards away. I can't recommend the restaurant though...

Another option would be pitching a tent on my site. Not the Ritz, but the only thing you'll use it for is to sleep. I even have a fan you can use.

Do you have a large or extra site or something? I don't mind camping at all. Its the wife & kids I have to convince. God know l don't have a problem saving a buck anywhere I can!
